In this Article, We would like to study about Wetland sites in India.The Wetlands in India is also called a Ramsar site because Ramsar is a city located in Iran where a convention related to wetlands was held in 1971 known as the Ramsar Convection. The Wetland Treaty was established by UNESCO in 1971. It is an international treaty. Presently, India has a total of 75 wetland sites out of which most of the wetland sites are in Tamil Nadu.The UK has the highest number of wetland sites and India is third after Mexico in the world.
